HM1 Ryan Lohrey
On July 10th, 2017 HM1 Lohrey was conducting a training operation as part of Marine Special Operations Team (MSOT) 8231. Their mission that day was to conduct an airlift from Cherry Point, NC to Arizona where they would conduct pre-deployment training. While in route, the KC-130 they were flying in broke apart in mid-air and crashed in Leflore County Mississippi.
HM2 Luke Milam
26, of Littleton, Colo.; assigned to 2nd Marine Special Operations Battalion, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; died Sept. 25 in Helmand province, Afghanistan, while conducting combat operations during Operation Enduring Freedom.
